We have just gotten the word that our visas are to arrive this morning. This is a wonderful Christmas present! It ended up being a longer legal process than expected! We are giving the federal express delivery person cookies.
We also have gotten our address in Hong Kong--Academic Exchange building on the campus. We can see the building and the surrounding area by satellite images. We are in the perfect location, just a block from the train that Karis will take to school and across the street from the largest mall around--Festival Walk. Karis is already planning to meet her facebook friends there!

Calvin the cat
Many of my friends have been concerned about how Calvin, our cat, will respond to our being gone. As you can see by the photos, he is very concerned about someone else living in his house and taking care of him.

Preparing to go to Hong Kong
The suitcases are now out of the basement and upstairs in the bedrooms and the packing stack is starting to grow.
