Victoria Park, on the island, turns into a fair and flower market right before Chinese New Year. Peach trees, treated like Christmas trees, are sold. I am amazed that you can produce peach trees that bloom just in time to be cut and send to market for Chinese New Year. Other flowers are beautiful as well. Platters of flowers with bulbs are there--for enjoyment for a few weeks.
And of course, it is the year of the Tiger
